David Swanson

Head of School

David is the Head of School at ISNS, overseeing all academic programs.  David is originally from the U.S.A. where he lived in the states of Minnesota and Colorado.  David holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Post-Graduate Certificate in International School Leadership from the College of New Jersey.   He is certified as both a science teacher and principal.

David began his career in education in Colorado but quickly discovered a love for the world of international schools.  David believes strongly in the philosophy and approach of the International Baccalaureate Programmes.  He has served international schools since 2001 in Egypt, Thailand, Korea, Jordan, Vietnam, and now China.  Overall, David has more than twenty years of experience working with children, of which nine have been as a school leader and administrator.  David has a passion for integrating technology into education and a vision to transform education using technology.
